The Woods
When we purchased the home in 1987, the wooded area was virtually impenetrable, with no home behind us. We built the Pavilion and cleared out much underbrush, retaining as many trees as possible. Paths were put in for the kids to play, and in 1995 a staircase was installed. The "Bee Barn" came in about the same time, as well as a water effect (whiskey barrel, with water pumped up to a waterfall and stream back to the barrel). There are now three staircases, two of which were rebuilt in 2020, along with a reconstructed water effect. Benches and chairs are near the barn to sit, read, and enjoy the woods. The staircases and stream are lighted, Ethernet is run to the area for wi-fi and security camera. Sorry, no TV.
